Jane001's needs orthodontic treatment due to severe cross-bite. Also, she was born missing two permanent teeth. Jaw surgery is also medically necessary because her bite is so non-functional that she is predisposed to damage of her teeth, gums, alveolar (bone) support, and TMJ jaw joints. Her treatment needs are functional, not cosmetic.
